Definitely not the same 
The only thnig that looks similar is the spider design, that's all.
Deda is Compactdrive, THM is standard.
Deda has a normal ISIS axle, THM integrated.
The crankarm is different, smooth (THM) against welded (Deda)

i really like thm clavicula, but they are sold out till april, i hope this is an early april fools joke... 
but regardless, i would consider them when the time comes. i still would like to see how they fair off against the zipp 300 cranks.
i wonder who will make a stiffer/stronger crank this year. Zipp, Thm, etc... thm has already let me know that their cranks are going to be stiffer than the Dura ace 7800. maybe they will be just as stiff as the Cannondale Si hollowgram cranks? but can the zipps be stiffer with their claim of being 50% stiffer than anything previously out?

I do notice a significant weight difference.
The Deda, despite being compact, are listed as 546 grams.
The THM is noted to be aiming for 420 grams.
There must be a signficant manufacturing difference to explain this weight descrepency.

Also, that 420g includes the bottom bracket.
I don't think the Zipp crank will be as stiff as the THM. Zipp claims their wheels are some of the stiffest, which many of us know that they are not.
Also, the crankset (well, the arms at least) that's considered to have the best STW currently on the market is the Storck, made by THM. Think Storck Power Arms: stiffer, lighter, with an intergrated BB.

Second that. The Dedas look as if they are made in the same factory as a lot of the carbon cranks out there. So does the BB. Premium $$$$$ price for Chinese made stuff?
