does someone use an extralite road stem on a mtb? I have a schmolke handlebar with almost the same diameter(25,7) as the roadstem(26,0).

well, the roadstem is the same as the mtb stem, the only fact is that maybe the diameter does not fit correctly your bar. the weight is the same. but I don't know if that stem is useful enough for a mtb.... maybe when your not weighing about 220 lbs like me but when your about the half it can handle your weight.

extralite have MTB stem, i have the extralite ultralite UL stem weighting 94grams for 100mm length.
as road stem diameter is different from MTB, you might have to use a shim to fit.
otherwise get a proper MTB stem or lose getting a grip on bar.
