The frame is beautiful! I don't like too much the component choice, I would have built it with more classic parts, but the frame is really gorgeous.

Nice frame, just looks too big for the rider as the saddle is sitting too low in my opinion, I'm sure the idea of a custom frame builder is to overcome the problem of a frame that is too large for the proposed rider?

Cool bike and the white/green theme is bold and refreshing, but I agree that a more classic approach would have looked nicer.

And that handlebar is one of the bike industrys worst designed items. Too deep for most people to actually use it, and the general appearence is just horrible, especially on such a nice, classic steed. A Newton Shallow would look perfect.

The height of the saddle was not adjusted properly to the riders height thats why it is a bit low.

Also, The point of using those kind of parts is to make the bike as light as he could. For me the weight of the bike as it stands now with clincher wheelset is already light. My friend has not weighed it with his "light wheels" yet. I think it will go just a bit under 15 lbs. with tubulars. The R-SYS wheels are just his so called rain wheels

As for going classic, Yes the frame will be good with classic parts. But the bike will remain as it is.

i love a good steel bike but this one looks like it's trying to be something different.

an observation i find amusing: when somebody points out a low seatpost the response is always "it wasnt set up to ride" so what, it was set up for the picture? i guess a lower seat is easier to lean against at starbucks...
