That's true. But the company is owned by private equity investors, no doubt they want to restructure the business and then sell it onto a trade partner. Anyway, there's no official news of the story yet.

Gotta wonder about Competitive Cyclist's motive in publishing this rumor, which in fact first popped up back in 2003.

Would a company (that can't sell Cannondales) deliberately promote misinformation? In the same way they list SRAM Red components as "out of stock, available x date" then continue to push the date back, all the while accepting "pre-orders"?

It's all a bunch of BS. If you look down the line at who's "bought" cannondale in the past few years You'll learn to look the other way... You probably didn't know Trek, K2 or Adidas were on that list. There are lot's of ways to "buy" a company, and in this case, shutting down the US facilities and moving production to Asia isn't one of them. Hold your heads high Cannondale fans. ;)

i dont see this happening. cannondale has cash. especially in the last 2 yrs its been doing well. with the success of the new scalpel coming, supersix, and systemsix....i believe this to be a rumor.
