Help with this trainer

Hi!

A time ago I saw a cyclist warm-up on a trainer where she didn´t need her rearwheel. The thing looked like a box or something and a mediumsize flywheel with sprockets were fitted to the box. (The flywheel was instead of a rearwheel.)
I should´ve asked where to find something like that but I didn´t and I regret that.
Please help me to find that thing.

My guess from your description would be the Record Trainer.
Don't really know who makes it or if it is still available, haven't seen it in a long time.
The thing looks like a standing metal 'shoebox' with a casette mounted to it. (?) I haved looked in to these a couple of years ago but couldn't find them anywhere They are supposed to be one of the best trainers for powertraining because the poweroutput is very exact even at very low RPM where a tacx or similar begins to skid the wheel over the roller.

Good luck finding one, don't expect them to be cheap but if you find one you'll have one VERY nice trainer.

Next summer I will look for it again and I will tell everyone who wants to know where to find that little thing.

to ask them about the price for their trainer because I couldn't find them anywhere on the net. After I heard what they cost I don't think that is so strange, around 6000 euro but then you really have a NICE trainer!

6000€ is a lot of cash!!!! but i´m sure it´s worth it
I am looking for a trainer to use as test rig for cyclist in my club
and this one looked perfect becouse they could use their own bike
now I´m thinking about the Tunturi T4 with software that you can use to test the cyclist suposed to be as almost as accurate as the srm device [/url]

Is 400 watt enough? I don't think so, even my dad can get 400 watt out of his legs.
