Try the Tune Super MTB. My set is at 1340g !
I will be ordering the FIR Ronda MTB disc specific carbon wheels as soon as they are in productin which should be within 6 months, and they weight 1200 grams for the set.
I am putting together a Scott Strike Limited full suspension bike that will have a few heavier componants like XTR new style discs and XTR dual shifters, but I am going to make up for that with some lighter parts....so the anticpated weight is right around 19lbs.....[/b]

I would recommend that you give Dave Thomas at Daves wheel a call:
http://www.speeddream.com/index.php
What you will get is a Custom Wheelset matched to your weight and riding style. I weigh 190 lbs and my wheelset consists of:
Chris King hubs (32 hole Front and Rear)
Bontrager Valiant Ceramic rims
15/17 gauge spokes single cross lacing front and non drive side rear
14/15 gauge triple cross lacing drive side rear
Alloy Nipples
Whatever rim strip he recommended
My weights are:
665g Front
841g Rear
You may be able to go lighter if you weigh less than me. For overall performance (of which weight is one of many factors) I think that these are very good.
Check out the reviews on mtbr.com:

Good Luck!

At this weight they have to be brass, not aluminium.
BTW. I wonder how to distinguish between brass and not anodised aluminium nipples just by looking at them. Any idea? Nipples in my GT were supposed to be alu but after wheel disassembly they turned out to be brass (weighted all parts).

If you're nearsighted like me , you can see that Aluminium nipples have a very clean surface while brass nipples are relatively grainy.
