Yea, I was going to asked about the carbon versions too. They used to show up on starbike with an expected date of sept 17. Now they no longer appear.
Guess still not ready for prime time and may never be.

This is the only reason why I would use the nokon housings.
That is probably the best excuse for nokons I've ever seen, I wonder if it shifts as smooth as normally? Shimano cable routing is one of the reasons I have two SRAM bikes.
Wouldn't it be nice if people actually read what you wrote before responding?

My silver nokons have corroded after one season. They looked great for about three months. Back to DA.
I'm keeping the beads for odd cable routing on an MTB.
Good luck.
Regards
Alan

you ride da shifters for the comfortebel hood and secure shifting
the design of the cable routing is a part of the fine shifting
meaning a cable that runs as straight as possible
if u want light cables in terms of weight and shifting try to get gore cables
otherwise get powercordz wich are all black inner cables
gore has colour options and a better self sealing system
dont know if gore cables are still made
both brands come in brake cables as well
when nokon cables loose their round shape they look awfull
they are exspensive to

If Nokon are properly set up, they need virtually no "tuning".
I have 5 sets running and do nothing to any of them except whipe em down with an oily rag, then work the lbe in and whipe em clean, every 3-4 months. I have sets that are 3+ years old and have not seen any kind of issue with them comming out of round.
The color comming off is an older version problem. In the past several months they changed the coloring system and the color holds far better (though nothing is permanent). If you buy new ones, they should be the new, more solid color.
Tight bends can be made, but I would strongly suggest using Jagwire ripcord teflon coated cables rather than the stock cables that come with the Nokon kit. They will slide much easier and will not wear on the teflon liners nearly as much for tight bend Dura Ace.
Honsetly I would suggest using Ripcord in any case as it makes the movement smoother for shift and brake application.
