Not sure if this has been mentioned, but Tune have brought out a slightly different version of the speedneedle, the rails are different which should confuse the matter even further.

If you have a 2007 speedneedle then the USE 'speedneedle clamp' or oversize clamp will not fit, with or without modifaction.

I sent my 2007 version to USE, and they do make a clamp that fits. It is the same clamp that also fits the Fizik Arione carbon. Rail diameter is ~9.2mm rather than 8x10 of the older one.

I think the weight has also gone down a bit, my saddle with leather padding weighs 93g rather than 97g claimed.

Here is a picture of the 2007 speedneedle. Notice the different rails (carbon/kevlar)

And the older version for comparison:

yes, that is true, my 2007 speedneedle alcantara weights even 81g when claimed is 87g.

Matt, have you removed the leather nose bit?

I've got that same 2007 saddle, and I can say: It does not fit extralite ul2 seatpost perfectly. The saddle rails are to wide for the cradle, so a little filing is necessary.

Is this info confirmed by USE? I got same saddle and post as you do. And what a surprize was when I tried to fit my new TSN with special USE TSN clamp, and it didn't fit  Very disapointing....

Yes it is confirmed by USE.

I sent my saddle back to them, with the TSN specific clamp and they checked the size of the new rails and sent the Arione carbon back.
I suggest you contact them and send the TSN clamp back, you should recieve an arione in return.

I didnt see the KCNC SC prolight seatpost listed in this thread. Anyone have any experience with that post and oval rails? I have a saddle that has similiar shaped rails, I'd like to get that post since my Race face doesnt fit it well. Thanks.

Hi

Did you know how to use a Speedneedle on a SPARK LIMITED Frame with or without the specific RITCHEY mini seatpost ?
