Hi there,

Info about them? The only weight I found was 321g for 64*260mm dubble butted spokes.

Joel,

ACI Alpina is famous Italian spoke and nipple manufacturer. They used to have quite informative website, but it disappeared a few years ago. I have laced a few wheels with straight 2 mm Alpina spokes and had not have a single problem with them on mountain bikes for many thousands of kms. No experience with butted spokes. You can identify them by letter "S" on spokes' heads.

Joel,

All I have seen were straight 2 mm Alpina spokes and their weight is basically the same as DT 2 mm. I am sure they manufactured alu nipples, stainless steel aero and IIRC straight titanium spokes. However, I have no data on their weights.

I have two wheelsets laced with them, the 2mm elliptical spoke.

They are nicely finished, without the distortion in the blade to round section transition that is a common trait of other spokes of their type like the CX-Ray. The section is a true elliptical shape, which probably doesn't make any aerodynamic difference, but does look nicer than a flat blade section, I wonder if it is also better at resisting twisting forces during building?

Overall, I like them, have not had any problems with them, and I'd buy wheels built with them again without hesitation.

Hey Joel,
I am about to have my 360 rims built up by Royal wheels with these spokes and Spada hubs. I am getting some extra, so I will weight them when I get them.

I don't think they have a site. Just contacted them by email.
