Spada hubs.........

Emailed Spada yesterday and this was his response......

The campy version weight 65 gr + 184 gr rear .
The website will be in english version one of this days.

Remember that at the moment is only availlable 10 speed as compatible
cassette ( tiso , marchisio etc )

NO CAMPY CASSETTE can used on Our hubs .
The reason is tecnical , at this weight campy design leave some rolliing
resistance on the road .

Anybody know what this means with the Cassette? Does it mean the hub is actually a shimano hub body and I would have to use an AC Shimano to Campy cassette, or is there something about the Campy cassetts I don't know about. I have a Tiso cassette and I don't remember seeing any real difference between it and the Campy cassetts I have other than the ramping. No spacing differences anyway.

It has a body with the same dimensions as the MM10 body. Marchisio and Tiso both make MM10 compatible cassettes. I see no reason why an AC Shimano/Campy cassette wouldn't work, you would need a spacer on the body before sliding on the cassette to allow for proper securing of the lockring.

When I asked, I was told 16, 18, 20, 24 and 28h front, 24 and 28h rear only.

I use my Spada hubs with a Tiso MM10 cassette. It works perfectly in a Record 10 system.

I have a Tiso cassette already, but it fits on a Campy hub. I assume the MM10 cassette fits on to a shimano hub (i.e. has the shimano hub pattern not the Campy pattern)?

They have different patterns.

As far as the Tiso cassette goes I will waite and see. I have a new one coming. The first one I received didn't contain ramps so shifting was a little sketchy. The new one will have ramps.
