Will Campagnolo ever abandon the G-springs?

5 pairs on all bikes some with big winter miles - in 7 yrs only once needed to change G spring.
If you go DA yes they are sweet to use though not as precise as Campag imho but don't have a stack, the forward position of the moving parts of the shifter/lever means there is little protection if they hit tarmac.
