Hey guys,

Any tricks to help remove old glue from carbon wheels? Any advice would be much appreciated!

Thanks

Hi,

You could use a piece of cloth dipped in petrol or white spirit to rub down the rim bed.
The glue will soften after a few minutes.

Ciao,

I have heard paint thinner works, but have yet to try it. However, I would be hesitant to try it with carbon wheels. In the past I have used a head gun and an old butter knife and got most of it off with out doing any damage to my rims.

My LBS uses contact cement remover. Works well but is quite a lot of effort.
