Recently finished this and I thought I'd post some pics. It climbs like a mountain goat and is plenty stiff on descents. I'm coming back MTB after a several year hiatus, so I needed a fairly bomb proof ride to fend off my rookie falls and this is my first venture into the 2x9 arena; it's held up quite well thus far. First and foremost I must say that is a very nice bike you have.

But it's hard for anyone to see any true detail at all. It's not so much the picture, but rather the quality of the jpg rendering is pretty horrible... it goes all fuzzy around all the outlines... but yet the file is quite big @ 92kb for a 640x480 image! How can that be

All I can say is to try using different software if you've resized the image, saved or re-sampled it.

Sorry, a buddy of mine took that pic when I had to leave the rig at his house and that was the only one I had on file. I was trying to be lazy by not taking some of my own pics but thanks for the motivation to take some of my own, so hopefully you can stop back and take a look. Cheers

A good, sensible build, without going over the top...

I'll probably get flamed for this, but I can't see the point of building a dedicated ww MTB if it's only going to get trashed and all that... never going to to compete weight-wise with a road bike.

Nice to see some mud residue on a MTB for once too!

Update on some parts: Pics are still of a dirty bike...the weather has sucked around here and the frozen trail rides that we usually get turn a bit sloopy at the end. I'll get an updated weight on it shortly.

I gave up a few grams on a few things in terms of performance (budget on the cassette) and picked up bunches of grams elsewhere. New is in red--as most of the new bits are of that shade :
