Hi folks,

I use my bike for a lot of stop and go city riding in traffic. With how often my feet have to hit the pavement, I really need a platform pedal. Can anyone out there recommend a lightweight pedal that would fit my needs?

Thanks,
Bob

I know that platform pedals are borderline blasphemy in the weight weenie world, so I apologize.
I was able to locate a pair at performancebike that were 260g total, so that will work for my city pedals. Getting in and out of the real pedals over and over proved to be too much for the city.
Thanks,
Bob

I know you've got the platforms now but....

City biking is the perfect chance to practice your clipping in and out! After a while you'll hardly know you're doing it, especially if you set the release tension nice and low.

I found that this was one of the few times commuting helped me technically.

It does help if you don't mind trackstanding a bit (test of nerve at first) but I think its quicker in the end.
.....but it still has to work!

That is true. After I get used to commuting I may try switching back to the real pedals. :D
Thanks,

Thanks nikh. I think the pair I picked up are rebadged 939's with steel axles. They have the usual Wellgo K... part number with the wave above it. I probably paid extra for the middle man :)
