Hi,

Thought I would show off my son's new racing bike. He is 13 years old and will be in his 2nd year off racing. He, and his friend and teamate, will be riding a nearly matched set of bikes.

I built it with:

Campy Record drivetrain with a full Ti cassette--
except Chorus crank 48/34.
Speedplay Ti pedals
Ritchey evolution bar 38 cm.
Rolf wheels, and he may race with a set of Reynolds stratus clinchers.
Powercordz cables all around.
Zero grav stainless brakes

Weight is around 16.6 lbs, not a bad weight loss considering his old Trek kids road bike weighed significantly more.

Lucky boy :D
and it looks there is a bit of 'growth potential' with the seatpost/stem.

Fizik bar tape.

Yes, good room for growth. He has really started to sprout up in recent months.

The front QR is on the right, did you do it on purpose?

Bar tape looks like Fizik.

Nice bike, I hope he does get a good job when he grows, otherwise it will be difficult for him to upgrade to something nicer over the years :D

Really nice build! Want to adopt a 37-year old New Yorker?! :P

No, the QR just ended up that way for the pics.

He has helped pitch in a few dollars of his own savings, so he does have an idea what all this equipment costs.

No adoptions in the near future

lucky boy indeed, although I think that it is too good for 13 year old kid. I think that they shouldn`t start with so expensive gear....
