.............sorta. This is my weird frankenbike/random 7 speed walmart bike parts SS. Im an avid roadie, but have a really good system of trails a mile from my house and really enjoy mountain biking alot. Downside-im terrible at it. Most of my money goes into my road racing and the road bikes, so heres my mountian bike in all of its glory. I have no clue on the weight, but to make myself feel better i claim 5kgs.
Frame: K2 really low end...i have no idea its been painted black due to sucky graphics
Fork: 1998? Manitou Ti spring, had a hole in the lower legs, i patched it, it was free!
Wheels: Xrims.. something front and a velocity rear.
Tires: IRC mythos XC
Cranks: SR suntour triple
BB: God only knows
Chain: KMC Z chain- either 8 or 9 speed, i dont really know
Cassette: random gears and spacers, only 1 of them really matters
brakes: tektro, theres no back because i still need to go get another brake cable
HB: Nashbar
Stem: Giant adj OEM on my first roadbike
Seatpost: Mongoose oem seatpost sooooooo heavy
Seat: mongoose oem seat
Basicly i just wanted to show everyone that you can build up a functional SS for close to nothing.

I don't get it, it's not a single speed it is a 7 speed.
Single speed bikes have one cog a the front and one at the back.

sorry I take it back. you have 7 cogs at the back but you only use one now i get it.
Nice work.
To get rid of the six spare cogs on the back, you can pull apart the cassette, select the cog you need/want and use PVC pipe to space out the freewheel body. Cheap fix - can be free if you find an offcut in the right diameter.
I have a 1990 Shogun Trail Breaker at home, a great bike back in the day - came with XT thumbies etc but has long been superceded. I think I know what to do with it now, thanks for the inspiration!

You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.

I'll get a pic of my budget fixie mtb conversion. Yours is nice, but you need a 100% black saddle and bars.
