From all I've read/heard the Ritchey (or Deda) 1-piece, 4-bolt faceplate is actually harder on a carbon bar than the Syntace 2-piece, 4-bolt type. Apparently the "bridge" on the Ritchey type can cause kinks. I'm using a Kestrel EMS Pro SL also, but with the FRM WebStem ti (123g in 120).
