Hi,just had a new Record group strapped onto my Paris frame i've managed to lose a pound off the weight and it's now down to 14.48Lbs.We had a bit play with the front mech and managed to lose 18 gramms off it,first time i've used the Nokons so hope they shift as good as the original Campy cables, the seatpost is the original MoST but rubbed the graphics off and cut a bit off and lost 56 Gramms off it.Hope you like it.

To keep this on topic and in the Road section Alan, what did you do to the front mech to lose the weight?
Looks great btw, but dont I recognise that "wall" from somewhere

Hi Lee yes it's the MTS wall of loveliness thought might get a response from you,we basically worked on the band as you can see it was slotted and it has been drilled and some material was filed down,Ti bolt with an aluminium nut and sprayed black just to be a bit different it's great having a mechanic with a Degree in engineering.Jim's building his next week he's got some Ventoux's to go on it so i will post a picture when it's done.
Thanks Alan.
I like what you did with the seatpost. I've never been a big fan of hanging too much branded stuff off a Pinarello as it does cheapen the look. You've got round that and saved a bit of weight too!
Looks like a great setup...wish it was mine

LJ you can't have all of them,we've got a Valverde Pro-Tour edition frameset due next couple of weeks i'm having sleepless nights already. We have some GenII LW's are they worth changing to cos i think you have both, how do they compare?Roomed with a good mate of yours at last years Pina Fondo..Andy from the LBS you frequent... he was finished a long long time before me.

I know
In terms of the Gen II's to Gen I LW's, you definately wont feel a difference when riding them....however the new wheels are lighter and report an increase in stiffness. The four logos instead of two definately look better so all in all, "knowing" you are on Gen II's makes the change worth while IMO.
Wow - I like it alot what size frame is it?
read something about problems with the ONDA fork and LW wheels - any expirences? thanks!

Great looking Paris. All these Pinarello's with LWs are making me think about getting some.
Thanks for the positive comments,MADS it's a size 53,if you look closer at the head tube you will also notice that the Pinarello headset has been cut down, the top collar has had about 10mm cut off to get the stem closer to the head tube to get my ideal position. This also benefits the overall stiffness and handling IMO.I've been asked before about the problems with LW's and certain forks,Onda and Time from the ULTeam,s that we have built up and posted but really guy's this is just a simple fix with some basic equipment that takes literally a minute i wouldn't let that put you off either the wheels or the frame's,and if your LBS spanner men have difficulty in solving this then you should be looking for alternative mechanics not products. When the LW,s were fitted initially to my Paris then they did rub the fork a quick check on which way fork leg was catching on the flange take off the gold end cap insert washer/spacers end cap back on,wheel back in,check again.I will try and post a picture of the washer in place when i get to work tomorrow.
Hi Alan,
that could be really nice - thanks! Nice detail with the headset - seemed a little low! Looks good!

Alan,
I was always a little dissapointed to think that you two didn't frequent this place! Good to see. The Pina looks superb!
Does this mean that there is some barely used Dura Ace for sale? I am going to end up buying a gruppo off you pretty soon, and depending on the mileage of that one (if available) it might be of interest.
I am hoping to pop in on Saturday on the home for Christmas.
Cheers, James.
