That cassette may actually be cheaper if manufactured from diamond.

£339.95 for the 11-23 cassette.

Dollar equilavent $618.

I'd rather get myself a DA cassette and spend my cash elsewhere on the bike!

I spent only $87 on a DA 11-23 cassette. 8 times cheaper than the poshbikes cassette. Will it last 8 times as long? My 11-23 DA came out at 156g. How much does the Poshbikes cassette weigh?

I can see the sence if the cassette lasts 10 times as long.

Is there any way of quantifying any friction benefits. Does it deliver a smoother ride?

Looks beautiful, but $647.00 in 12-25. :unbelievable:
And then, what, you put tune or Boone up front and a Wipp ti chain? Yikes....that's a new set of wheels right there.

i know what you mean. but how long will this cassette last? tin coating last almost 10 times longer, and this is 34% harder than tin. in the long run, the cassette will last for a very very long time. anyone care to try???

i bet this coating can be done cheaper.

Why not just look in the local phone book for industrial coatings?

I looked into it once and posted to see if there was any interest but alas no.

You pay for the setup of the vacuum chamber they use for the titanium nitriding and the price is about $700 here in SoCal. I think given the size of the chamber you could do 10 cassettes for about the same price.

Also, aluminum cogs can't be nitrided only Steel and Ti.
