I just recently bought THE STEM (I T M magnesium) and rushed home and put in on the gram scale only to see a horific site!!!!!! 137 gram's!!!!
what give's, I bought it in the 100mm size and figured maybe 100 grams
or so, but 137 holy crap!!!.
Did I just buy a heavy one or has any one seen a 138g The stem weigh this much, should I return it and have them weigh it before shipping or is this the norm?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank's in advance

Thank's for the reply ye olde balde one, but still what gives??
even the listing's on this site shows the 100mm length to be 95g.
And where do you buy FRM stems in the US ( california ) or where is the best place to mail order this stem straight from frm?.
Also where can I order Storck cranks from here in the US or mail order?.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the world of manufacturers component weights. Sometimes I wonder if weighing at altitude makes a difference.....maybe they go up Everest to weigh things?

In L.A. you can get FRM at Triathlete Zombies. I just saw a 2004 catalog there. Nothing on display though right now, but maybe call ahead and tell them you want to see some stuff and ask if it's possible? They told me the distributor is local and that they could do that for me.

Storck I don't know about, 172.5mm is too short so I can't use them.
