New Ultimate ISIS Scandium BB

Hello,

Does anyone here have this BB on there bike? Hows it holding up? Any good? It's between this and the AC ISIS BB for my new bike.

Also, if you are there New Ultimate, can we order this product direct from you? Also, do you have pricing all all of your items? Where are you located at and are there any US dealers? I am very interest in all of your products for my new bike I am building.

Any idea what the recommended torque is for the spada BB cups?

I haven't had great luck with the AC BB. First one went south after about 200 miles of xc riding (some of it pretty wet.) I called them and they sent me new bearings but now this one doesn't spin very freely. It was fine when I installed it but less than 500 mi. later I only get one complete revolution when i spin the cranks w/o the chain on them. Cups and crank arms were installed with a torque wrench too. No play or creaking yet, though. This BB is more sensitive than most tohow well your shell is faced.

The Spada, New Ultimate, Token, and others all probably use same/similar parts, but I believe the bearing specs are different (triple bearing on the Spada). The Spada was going to be distributed by Zerolite, but I don't know if that's happening still.

These cost $150 from Spada-USA. There is also a ti version available, 165g. The actual weight on my Scandium is 118g.

The torque setting on the bolts is 43-48 Nm (32-35 ft-lb).
The weight limit on the Spada Scandium BB is 230 lb.

I've got an AC ISIS and it's been great so far. I have over 1500 miles on it. Have ridden with it in an all-day rain on a century, and have ridden in other rain storms also. I got some creaking from it about 200 miles after that century .. just took the BB out, greased it up, put it back in. Fixed the creaking, so it wasn't the bearings and I think entirely normal. It's quiet, stiff and smooth and the cranks spin freely w/o the chain on.

A bit off topic, but: Is it really possible to make an aluminium ISO axle for a BB that will last. I always thought that alu would snap.

Spada BB:
Scandium spindle: 118g. $150 from Spada-USA.
Titanium spindle: 165g. $150 from Spada-USA.
Weight Limit: Scandium: 230 lb.

Torque settings:
Crank bolts: 43-48 Nm (32-35 ft-lb).
Cups: 40 Nm for the RH cup, 20 Nm for the LH cup (fitted after RH cup is torqued).
