Question: I'm looking to change my Handlebar, Stem, and Fork over the winter. I like the stiffness of the EC90 fork, but I would like to drop some weight. Also, I want to find a carbon bar that has more of a flat drop to the shifters. I've been considering the Ritchey WCS Carbon 4-Axis stem and either the WCS Carbon Evolution bar or the Syntace Racelite Carbon. Any thoughts or different options?

but..... The Force shifters do not look nearly as ugly as when they were presented at SRAM trade booths.
Does it have to be a crabon stem? The 4 axis carbon is, if I remember, a carbon wrapped Al stem. Why not something like the Oval R700 with the R900 kit? It would fit nicely with the Soloist too. The Oval R950 carbon bar is quite light at 170g as well. that gives you a 270g set at 26mm, or 290g at 31.6mm.

Yes, I was pleasantly surprised at how good the Force shifters look in the flesh.
As for the stem, I could always go with the Alum 4-Axis. I have looked online at the Oval products and I like the stem a lot. I'm just not sure about the R950 Bar. Does anyone have a profile (side) shot of this handlebar?

why did you put Campagnolo's Bora stickers on your 404 ?
Your friend wrapped the aero part I thought that was meant to be left unwrapped. They are the new 'Bora G3 Clinchers' that don't have G3. I hope their cheaper.
EJM has the Oval bars, I'll get a pic for you, but seeing them in person, they look awesome. It is kind of a classic/ergo drop. very smooth curve. google image search produced this (see below). If I remember it was quite close to claimed weight.

You right, It's not "Cool" to wrap your aero bars but it is more "comfy"
"G3"? Yup, about half the price Maybe someday......
I'm planning to go with the Syntace F119 Road stem, and the Syntace Racelite Carbon handlebar on my 2006 Cervelo Soloist Team
Is that seat angle ok like that?
Doc, That was something to do with the angle that I took the pic at - I too was weirded out by how it looks in the pic. The seat is actually completely flat from nose to tail.
I agree that the M5's aren't necessarily aero, but I love the weight and the way that they work.
Tip: Anyone that has ever had trouble with cable friction from the internal cable routing to the rear brake on a Soloist - try using Nokon cable for the small bend between the back internal cable stop and the rear brake. The Nokon housing can handle the tight bend way more effectively than standard cable. I found that this fixed any problems with OG-05 and M5 return spring strength issues.
