Tubular tread repair
Moderator: robbosmans
Riding yesterday I hit a very sharp stone and it tore a small section of rubber on the tread of a tubular tire. The section is approx. 6 mm across and the flap of rubber is still attached at one point to the tire. Does anyone have any recomendations if this can be repaired and if so what kind of cement/glue should be used to effect the repair. The tire still holds air as the casing and tube were not damaged. Thanks.

I haven't done it but have heard that shoe goo works. It's pretty tuff stuff if it can be used on the bottom of a shoe.
