After (I hope) good advice from the ww community I am embarking on my first serious build. The frame arrived today and I'm just waiting on the handlebars and new Park Tools torque wrenches to put it all together properly! I'm fortunate to have a brother who used to wrench as his saturday job so should be OK...

Here is the build list, I got a great deal on Chorus 2006, so that forms the base, with a view to upgrading cranks and brakes when funds allow! Everything will be weighed and I'll post some pics later in the week.

Frame: Canyon F10 2006
Fork: Smolik, as supplied with frame
headset: FSA, supplied with frame
Handlebars: Deda 215 Anatomic
Stem: Syntace - F99, as supplied with frame
seat: Selle San Marco Aspide (white...)
seatpost: Thompson masterpiece, zero setback (came as cheap option with Canyon)
seatpost clamp: Smolik, as supplied with frame
Brakes: Campag Chorus 2006
Shifters: Campag Chorus 2006
Cassete: Campag Chorus 2006
Chains: Campag Chorus 2006
Crankset: Campag Chorus 2006 Alloy (first part to upgrade..?)
Rear Derailleurs : Campag Chorus 2006
Front Derailleurs: Campag Chorus 2006
tyres: Continental GP4000
Inner Tubes: Michelin Aircomp A1 latex ultralight
Pedals: Look Keo Carbon
Wheels: Campag Eurus 2006

Looks like a great, solid build! I am thinking of running the same F99/Deda 215 combo.

Looks like a great build
I would upgrade cranks to record carbon 2007 as well as the silver chorus brakes to record 2007 black.

I agree, Record 07 cranks are one option, I'm looking into others. Also thinking of going down the zero G route for brakes at a later date, although the record blacks are tempting too!! I'll be sure to debate my choices here when I get the cash...

I would have gone with Zondas myself since they are Chorus level hubs so it matches your groupset. For upgrades I'd do 07 Chorus cranks and get the black Record brakes.

So is the new porn having a nakid frame in bed showing its empty BB. Thats like an XXX pic.

I had the Eurus wheels from earlier in the year when I had both the money and need for new wheels, and the idea was to keep upgrading this bike to Record level anyway, its just the money ran out when it came to groupset for the build!!
