what size is it?

I find it funny to see bikes in the listings page or on light-bikes.com and their "super light" bikes at like 6kg but its like a size 49cm. To me that doesnt count.

Overall weight shouldnt matter. It should be weight in grams as compared to size in cm (unless were talking about compact frames).

I'm building a 58c caad7 shouldnt be that light, under UCI would be good enough for me.

good pic though, nice bike

Hey! Nice rings! They look very good with the black frame, glad you got them alright, you never did let me know you received them! lol

Nice Caad 7, you could get lighter pedals, and a carbon cage. But what ever floates your boat. If my "heavy" seat wasn't so comfy I'd toss it in a min. Get my bike down to your weight.

There is one dude here in finland that has a 5.9kg caad 7 in size 54. I havn't found any pics or info on the net, but it was coverd in a magazine a litle over a year ago. I can't remember all the exact parts, but gruppo was campa record. And yes the weight is with pedals. So you don't have to try that one! :P

Ah well,I know I could get the weight down with Campagnolo, but I do like my Shimano too much,I think that only the shifters are lighter than what I run though?I do have a Campag Record 10 carbon front mech, but for looks more than weight,as I think the Dura Ace was fractionally lighter. The cage is a Blackburn MMC,I think it weighs around 22g,so it ain't too heavy, but I would like to get a carbon, again, more for looks, the pedals are earmarked for replacement, but I can't decide what to get,as most superlite pedals I look at seem to have heavy cleats? The Ritchey spd's I have are 230g with pretty light cleats. As for a build list,I'm working on it,any tips how to best go round it?

I've had Keywin CRM Ti pedals on my Scott team issue for a few months now, and I'm very pleased with them. The price/quality/weight ratio is good. Just my .02$ ..., speedplays would be nice too.

every campy component is lighter than shimano, with the possible exception of some front mechs.

I don't think that's the case Dan,just because they use carbin fibre doesn't mean their parts are lighter,I think we need a groupset side by side weight comparison,as I'm sure not everything Campy is lighter, and what are we talking 9 or 10 speed Dura Ace?Anyhows,it's not an issue on my 'Dale, the only Shimano Dura Ace parts are the shifters, non flightdeck 9 speed Dura Ace and rear mech which has SRP bolts and a carbon cage plate,so lighter than the latest all carbon Campy 10.As a side note I had toyed with the idea of using 10 speed Campy Ergo shifters with my 9 speed Shimano compatible cassette, anybody tried that?I'm thinking that the spacing is very similar?Would I need a Campy rear mech to make it work?

I use Campy Record 10 components with 9sp chain and 9sp cassette, no problem. I've also used 9sp shifter w 10sp RD and 9sp chain and cassette, also no problems. So I think 10sp Record shifters and 9sp Shimano RD on 9sp cass should work.

Campa ergo's are ~100g less than Shimano STI's. Rear and front der's weights same +-1g. Anything else can be else than Sh/Campa.

So Campas's are lighter... :D
