For next season I want to install a compact crankset on my road bike, the problem with storck powerarms is that there is no compact version, Im thinking of using their MTB cranks as a compact road crank, but I haven't found any info about their BCD on their website, are they 110? Do you think this solution will work? Is the q factor the same as with the road cranks?
BTW: I need square taper cranks, that's why Im not looking at FSA.
Regards,
SC

Are you aware that in September (USA) Campy is releasing three versions of a compact crank (Record, Chorus and ??) Why not use theirs?

weight...it's all about weight :D
They will probably be in the 500g range.

I think the Record will weigh about 20g less than the normal Record carbon, so 500g or a bit less

Check with Mark at Spada. They have some new Compact cranks. I don't know if they have square taper or just ISIS. I got the ISIS

If you are concerned about weight then change over to ISIS. I've got the square taper power arms and regret not getting the ISIS. It's a better system and lighter.

They do. Look under the listings. It just makes sense. The ISIS is the lightest and is stiff. I'd make it that way.
