hello,

some details to your list.

- the ritchey parts have a higher weight, you will see them in the listings here.
- grand prix3000 aren't very light.
- the kuota fork is also heavier, about 430 gr.

you have forgotten rim tape, grip, nipples, bolts for bottle cages and cables in your list.

ciao piero

If you can, why not?!?

8.3 kilo for a race bike is a LOT! My mtb project is only 0.5 kilo heavier

BTW good luck on buying WCS stuff. The only thing I hear about it is that it is really hard to get.

It's going to be hard to lose much weight and stay in the budget but you could try a few things -

Crankset - FSA Superlight with American Classic or FRM BB. The campy aluminum cranksets are the most obese parts they make. Even the standard Team Issue FSA should be quite a bit lighter.

Headset - the ritchey weighs without the cap and bolt, campy apparently doesn't because when I switched to a chorus headset from the WCS (to get a lower stack height) it was 10g+ lighter.

Seatpost - American classic aluminum is cheap and lighter.

Saddle - cheapest would be an ebay flite with the cover removed.

Pedals - Speedplay x/2 is not too much or X/1 on ebay or elsewhere if you can get a decent price.

Bottle cages - can't think of any cheap alternatives but they are heavy.

Hubs - American Classic. Might be able to get a better price if you just get the wheels prebuilt from AC too.

If you aren't biased against single pivot brakes some dia compes would cut another big chunk off too.

Absolutely no problem here, just go to the shop and buy it.

The WCS is stuff isn't a problem in the Netherlans. I have found cheaper hubs: FRM Feather + team. So I save 40 grams and €100. Where can I spent this €100 as best?

I think the cranckset/BB combi will be the best place to save weight
Chorus BB + crankset: +80 euro -70gram and much better BB quality
Seatpost (if in-line is possible): FRM ST-M11 +5 euro -10 gram (if cut)
