My new SS wheels (for Polaris!)
Moderator: Moderator Team
Got the Monday morning blues, you may have to, so thought I would post some eye candy I got via UPS on Friday afternoon.
This is my new Chris King singlespeed wheelset I had built up from Larry at www.mtnhighcyclery.com
Chris King SS hubs laced with CX-Ray spokes, Mavic X317 rims and alloy nips.
The rear came to 884g without the fun-Bolts, cog, or lockring.
The front weight was something like 705g I can't remember off the top of my head.
I have a Boone Ti cog for the rear, see pic attached.

Are you really planning to do polaris on a singlespeed?
Much respect. The couple of times I did it, I needed every one of my 24 gears. Admittedly they weren't all an option by the end, but a few was better than one!
They look like they should be framed.

.....but it still has to work!
....at first I thought you were referring to me, and you're right, the forum could do with livening up. Thanks for the eye candy.
Then I doubted my obviously flawless judgement for a moment.
BTW, how much did the shiny, shiny wheelset cost you?
PS Have a look at www.polaris-apparel.co.uk and let me know if you fancy it on a singlespeed!

Shiny, shiny wheelset cost me $650 less the Ti cog.
The ti cog goes for $2 a tooth!
Mmm no that race looks to long for me, my buddy would be up for it he likes those kind of endurance races.
Except he just broke his leg and I'm jealous cos he now has a titanium rod down his shin
