New proto alu hardtail frame from www.Zemperbikes.dk - got the chance to testride it and this is much better than the first version. The frame tubeset has got a bigger diameter to see how much stiffer the frame will get (and the right angles 8) ).

First 4h testride today - frames seems very stiff and responds so quickly then sprinting in the large chainring. Handles very good and quick without feeling too nervous - the ride is a better bit harsher than the first tubing and my carbon hardtail but the bike just feels fast.

If decides to use this tubing the final production weight will be about 1200 grams for a 16" frame and will be offered with custom geometry.

Weight of the complete bike of the picture is 8,39 kg with some rather heavy parts such as heavy continental innertube in the rear wheel, Ritchey WCS oversize bars, Ritchey WCS oversize stem, heavy bottlecages (but very cool - don't you think? ), FSA Orbit headset, XTR derailleur with long cage, Shimano Dura Ace 10s chain and uncut steerertube.

Except some tuning soon so the weight should be around 7,9 kg.

sorry - no price ideas! try and contact Dennis at Dennis[at]zemperbikes.dk for prices!

I just ride the frame - another 2,5 hours today and it's a very good handling bike on singletracks!

It's not a change - just a 3th mtb just in case :-)

You do use your "prize" money on bikes but that's obvious I would as well. But are you fast enough for them? :)

When I get my tune wheelset I will have 3 complete mtb's:

Zemper Velox carbon hardtail with Rock Shox SID WC fork, Tune wheelset, XTR gear, New Ultimate seatpost, Syntace F99 stem, Extralite cranks, etc.

Zemper proto hardtail with Spinner Aeris fork, AC wheelset, XTR gear, New Ultimate carbon seatpost, Syntace F99 stem, XTR cranks, etc.

Trek Topfuel fully with Fox F80x fork, AC wheelset, XTR gear, New Ultimate seatpost, Syntace F99 stem, Extralite cranks, etc.

I think I will take it a bit easy in the fall this year hehe - maybe upgrade my Ridley Crosswind cross-bike :-)
