Whether it is or it isn't, it sounds like a whole lot of jealousy coming from Lemond.

So let me get this straight, none of you actually think that both Lemond and Armstrong took EPO?

Lemond is as nutty as a Snickers bar at this point.
This forum would be a better place if you had to know what you were talking about prior to posting. And if you took yourself less seriously.

i don't think lemond ever took epo. he was phenom at 14 yrs old. he left usa to train in europe to develop himself.

i don't think lance took epo after his recovery from cancer. but he may have taken it before the cancer. if he was on his death bed and speaking to doctors, it is not implausible to believe that he did confirm that he did take epo.

I am embarassed that one of my bikes has a Lemond frame...I think he is jealous of the attention Lance has received. In fact, many writers attribute the cycling boom in the US to Lance, and Trek's success to Lance, etc. But really, for us old guys, we remember how there was a big cycling boom around the time of Lemond's and Hampsted's success back in the 80s.

Well, I admit it. I've been wrong all along about Lance. It turns out he's really a nice guy after all - I have it on good authority*, as can be seen here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H4vLV8sizbU

Interesting how time has updated this.
As an historical piece, it's quite an eye-opener.
How odd that Lemond would be seen as a nut bar when (after a brief read here and a little research) it seems quite possible that he's just standing up for what is right, and was simply calling Armstrong out as what he knew was true. Oddly, this places Lemond in the spotlight as being tarred with the same brush.
I found this quite fascinating.
Updated: Racing again! Thought this was unlikely! Eventually, I may even have a decent race!
Edit: 2015: darn near won the best South Island series (got second in age
-group)..woo hoo Racy Theremery is back!!

Hmm, looks like Greg was actually right about a lot of things, and seems to be doing very well these days.
