That conical spacer that Cervelo ships with their bikes might as well be a lead fishing weight at almost 40 grams. The first thing I did was replace it with a Cane Creek IS-8 carbon spacer, which is still heavy but at least 20 grams lighter.
Cervelo should be ashamed of themselves for spec'ing that stupid hunk of metal on their nice racing bikes. Other manufacturers like Specialized, Scott, Kuota to name a few suopply nicely sculpted carbon spacers that provide the desired height without the unecessary extra weight.
