It isn't true. I drill it only with a prick-punch and my hands... remember that's only alluminium...

Cool.
I dont understand why do you put aluminium pivot instead of brass? anybody?
Really nice work Scapin. Not only is it light, but it looks great.
Thanks Madcow.
Hell yeah,it looks great.
I'm tuning mine,but like it's the first time i'm dremeling a bike's component(beside my shifters),it won't look as good as your der.
I'm just asking myself, why would you paint the aluminium?Or is it just to have something else than all the others, who prefer to polish the alu.I'm polishing it.And that's more because i painted my shifters but the paint is already almost gone.I think i'm going to polish the shifters also.
But you're a very skilled dremel user!

I prefer to sand it for 3 reasons: to homogenize the surface, polish well it is very hard, in case of scrape is better than any other varnish.
I don't know... I'm preparing the shifters...

yeah, I know a bump from the dead.
anyone know where one can buy these carbon cages anymore. I need a replacement inner cage for my m970 long cage. It's delaminated and cracked. I originally purchased it on ebay but that was back in 2007 and I can't find that history. Any help would be great.
