When I bought my it looked like this:
Image

Soon after I changed a few parts to upgrade it and make it more "my own"
Image

This winter I stripped the bike and am now completely rebuilding it with almost all new parts.

At this moment I got alot of parts already and am the rebuild is going pretty good, but atm I am waiting for my M960 Crankset and SLR Kit Carbonio Saddle to arrive and also expect my extralite ultraclamp and neogrips any day.
so my Build has grinded to a halt at the moment

But for now it looks like this:

The wheelset:

The wheels still need so tightning so if you noticed that the spokes are not 100% streight your right

The Wheels are:

Chris King Classic Hubs (front red, rear blue.. duh :P)
Sapim CX-ray spokes with alloy nipples (front red and rear blue again)
American Classic 350 rims.
Tune quick releases also in matching colors
Cassette is a SRAM PG990
not the lightest cassette but it looks so nice with the overall package imo. (the cassette is placed there just for the looks (main body, removed afterwards bacause the spokes are still not tight enough..)

I did not get them at 1 place I got the Hubs in the US (aspire velotech) and the rest from germany (xxlight-bikes) and laced them myself but the final tighning of the spokes will be done by someone who can to it ALOT better

the weight is (this is weightweenies after all)
Excl quick release: 1384 and incl 1439
but the rimtape is not on it yet, don't have a Idea wich to use, any suggestion?

ooh and what is on already:

2005 Rock Shox SID Athena incl poplock
Thomson Elite stem
Schmolke TLO handlebar
XTR rear mech (tuned abit with SRP and extralite bolts and a carbon rear plate)
XTR dual controls with cables

Hey, this is a cool build! the revival of an (old) bike. Makes you love it again doesn't it?

Now for the rimstrip. How about the Stans setup. I don't know what tires you prefer, but if you love racing ralphs and the likes this might be a very good option. If you prefer to ride with more skinny tires like the Kenda kozmic lite or the flyweight. you might want to use the uber light Ritchey red tape. so you can use a normal tube.
'Tape was made to wrap your GF's gifts, NOT hold a freakin tire on.'
If you want to see 'meh' content of me and my bike you can follow my life in pictures here!

I got brand new Twister supersonics and supersonic innertubes for them, I heard that tubeless kits don't work well with twister SS tyres.

@ kenni and chrism: got something to say about the bike? instead of the sofa wich I know is a really nice and relaxed sofa 8) and the hedge well already taken care of :P

ooh about the rimstrip, red ritchey's can I get them at my LBS or? cause I don't feel like looking all over the place for that, all the searching for the bikeparts took me half the summer and this winter (already started searching and buying stuff before the season ended :D)

When I am done the only part that is stock will be the rear mech, be it that it is tuned abit.

My last parts are on it's way now from germany and as soon as they arrive the bike will be finished.
Only 2 things I am waiting for: XTR crankset and a SLR Kit Carbonio saddle.
My extralite parts are in 8)
I expect my bike to be finished next weekend.

Today I got my extralite parts so I am abit further in the buildup :D

added:

Extralite Neogrips
Extralite Ultraclamp
Thomson Elite seatpost
Extraltie boltkit for shift cable clamps.

and I installed and shorteded the poplock cable. now the wait is for the crankset.

That is a nice Pro racing, like you said a 04, mine is a 03.
ooh I have to say I like the gold accents on your bike. looks good in the overall package
What is your total weight?

ooh about my bike.

I got my last 2 big parts in.
Already installed them andthe parts I could now proceed with.

sadly the batteries of my camera died when I tried to make some pics of the current state... I really wanted to take some pics cause I am really proud of how it looks now.

what I have done today:

Installed the XTR crankset
Installed my Selle SLR Kit Carbonio saddle
I temporarely used my old wheelset for adjusting the chain lenght.
Put my KMC X9 SL gold chain on the bike and shortened it.
Added a set of Xpedo TiTi pedals
shortened the brake and shift cables.

what still to do.
shorten the steerertube and install the starnut (Extralite ultrastar) + topcap.
final adjusting of well everything from the brakes, shifters, saddle and sti position.

and most important: get my wheels streightened so I can add the tyres etc.
