Finally: I tuned my seatpost from 162 to 113grams.

Hi,
I finally got the last parts I needed to finish the clamp for my EC90 ZeroOffset seatpost.
The post itself is a 260mm/31.6mm Easton EC90 Zero. With the original clamp it weighed 162grams, which was pretty nice, but every 5year old child could see that there's a lot of tuning potential in the clamp..... The thing was huge and ugly as well, so I had to do something.
The first thing I did, was filing off some material of the carbon halfpipe. It weighs 11grams now.
Second step was to order some aluminium beams from AX-Lightness, which I had to modify a little bit, because they didn't fit the Becker carbon-saddle.
3rd step: The bolts are titanium M6 ones, and weigh only 7grams .... I thought they were like 10-12gr.? I had to widen the "tunnels" of the post were you put the bolts through a little bit, because the original bolts were only M5.
complete weight: 113grams. So i lost 49grams with modifying the clamp

Very nice job indeed Felix! Good thinking to replace the original clamp with new parts - it makes it even more impressive that this is one of the things that you can actually get away with doing even if you're "forced" to ride certain components due to sponsorship agreements.
@tommy: As I see it the design that Felix has achieved is much like M2, Extralite and New Ultimate, and I know of at least one rider using the NU seatpost with a Becker seat, on his hardtail MTB. I would not worry about durability.

Felix--great job. Did you know that AX will be selling the seatpost beams in CARBON in a few months (and they will come on their new SLS AX seatpost models as well)--thus you can even save 18g MORE!!!!!
