I was standing in the park, wondering why frisbees get larger as they fly towards you. Then it hit me.

Not a 24hr race, but you may also want to consider Polaris - orienteering event over several days

I know my LBS is organizing a massive event this summer:
Volta a la Cerdanya Non-Stop.
It's on the Pyrennes, Spanish side, 250km with 6000 meters of climbing, mostly on fire roads, mostly at or above 2000 meters above sea level. You can do the non-stop or opt for more civilized versions. The non-stop has a sepparate ranking. Some pros will go, but I doubt it qualifies as a race, though.

Fantastic, Thanks for the info guys.
After a long discussion with my wife (strictly one way  ) I have decided that i will stick with the races i have already entered and perhaps also try the 7/24 as a solo (seven stanes, Scotland) if I am recovered enough after the 1st one in May.
I fancy a few of these events posted for next year.
Thanks again.
