How much do you weigh and out of curiosity whats the weight limit on the post?

It looks like the anodisation was already chipped. You can see corrosion on the left side of the top of the seatpin. That souldn't bother because of the corrosive effects of Al.
Do you know you have a five year warrenty on that pin?

The weight in our listing says 300+ grams, so rider weight shouldn't be involved...

I just hope you didn't hurt anything while dismounting! :wink:

The post appears to (based on only 1 photo) be a Al tube with an insert and a through rod to give 2 bolt adjustment.

The failure appers to have started at the rearward rod hole, and the crack propagated down and to the right, till the point that the rest of the tube could no longer support the loading.
Success is how far you you bounce back up after being knocked down
