I tried to do the same with 9150 and couldn't, so I am sticking with 9070, albeit with 9150 shift levers.
9000-9070 was pretty good stuff and it's hard to beat it, even for Shimano!

Think I saw someone mention this a while back but can't find it now: Has anyone noticed that 9150 (11-30 cassette) is much noisier than Ultegra 6870 (11-28 ultegra cassette) while riding? Don't know if its the cassette or derailleur but it's very annoying. I loved the silence of 6870 while riding.

Probably just a placebo effect on the new drivertrain. Cassete and chain have to bed in and noice might change during the chain and cassete life quite a bit. Also frame itself might increase or dampen the noice.

I have had neither in my hand but I can tell you that the 9150 and the 9070 (DI2 levers for both generations) are quite different and one will not fit the other. I would imagine that similar changes were made between the mechanical STI lever hoods between 9000 and 9100 and the images I've seen confirm that to my eyes.

No, it's louder. I think it could be the ti cogs in the cassette, will change to ultegra and see if that helps.
