My road rig:
My old, faithful offroader is currently heavily worked on. It lost all its steel bolts and received Ti and Alu hardware (purple chainring bolts, bottle cage screws, and derailleur bolt for the chain tensioner). Last Sunday I polished the whole frame and gave it a new set of "old" Merlin stickers. The pic below was taken before my restoration project.

No custom paint. It came like that from Litespeed back in 2000.

Nice touch. Got me thinking whether the colour and shine of titanium could be replicated on a carbon fork, or something very close.collideous wrote:KB wrote:Collideous - Love the road rig. Assume you had the Reynolds fade on the forks custom painted? It looks really good.

Mine came with a fade paited fork as well, and when I got the new fork I was going to paint the fade again and order spare decals. After thinking about it, the Titanium and pint would never be a right match, so I letf it off. Part of the lure and beauty of Titanium and Carbon to me is it looks good in it nude state.
