Hi,

have you any experiences with the kcnc light cassette sprocket for cyclocross use?
I plan it to use next winter just for race-use, so about 15-20 races, each 20-25 km with roll in and out.
Can you recommend it for shimano 10 speed?

Thanks

in brief: No. Whenever you need to shift under load, you will bent the cogs, lose a tooth or similar. Only works on roadbikes

i would say the same. my kcnc has several marks on the teeth from just 2 road races(maybe 300 km), i don't want to see such a cassette after riding in mud, sand or snow when accelerating out of every corner.

Thanks for your reply.

Simon, what do you use as cassette in cross? Any lightweight things or standard Shim/Campy?

Thanks
Balazs, who parked at Hamburg Horn cyclocross in Oktober directly next to your car and was faszinated a little bit :-))
