My Colnago President Transformed - Thanks Madcow!
Moderators: MrCurrieinahurry, maxim809, Moderator Team
I finally made the switch to Campy and LW’s on my President. Pretty nice stuff compared to Dura Ace and Zipp 404 clinchers.
Much thanks to Jason (Madcow) of www.fairwheelbikes.com for making this baby and the BMC possible. I will name my first born after him!
I would like to switch to lighter pedals, but I only have 1 pair of shoes for my bikes.
My twin brother, Ha Hai Ho, is suggesting THM Cranks. Once again, I am open to suggestions for shave off another gram or two.
Thanks and Ride On!

Hai - May I be the first to welcome you to the CAMPY club. He has finally made it over to the other side. You will have to get in line for those THM cranks Bro - Behind me : ) Very nice build and nice emulating the look of my Cielo - We both love the look of each other's bike. - Your Twinkie, HA HO

Oh, BTW 86 the Shimano Pedals. I remember I made the same move and justified the SPD SL's as well, but loyalty overcame logic. May I suggest my 134 gram X1's when I get my M2 Racer Orbs? I'll give you the "Brother" Deal since we have shared the same womb. Great Build and glad you FINALLY took some of my advice - Love yah Bro - HA

Guys, I like your style.
Again a very nice build, but I am a little biased as I come to like most of Jason's builds.
I'd suggest both of you to swap bottle cages to see how this would look like as to me the other way round (sticker-wise) might (but does not necessarily have to) look better.

While I'm an avid Colnago lover, your BMC takes the cake; the matching Ram KILLS
Do Lightweight wheels come with a free garage door in the US?

Sweet rides, dude!
I love Colnago's...
but BMC's are cool, too, I guess...
Someday, I'll buy a pair of Lightweight Standards, then I'll wake up.

They come with a free garage and a townhouse attached to the garage.

Again, a great looking bike Hai H. Ho.
I second the skewer thing, a set of ti Tune's would be the icing on the cake, though I love the feeling of the Mavics.
Personally, I find these aggressive Elite bottlecages a bit too much for the stylish, classy but a bit more leasurely appeal of this bike.
Oh, and your Record cassette is probably steel + ti, instead of al + ti, or you have some cool secret prototype shipped directly from Vicenza.

How about the M2racer skewers?

Hi To the Ho brother nr 2!
Beautiful build! A more then nice Colnago it is beauty before weight saving again. And you are 100% right to do so. Specially because the President frame is not that light so this is the right way to build it!
So if you ride together with your twin brother that would be two times a black tie!
Girls in long evening dresses running behind………… Preferable in short cocktail dresses……………. Well I made my point.
I like both the Colnago and your brothers Merlin!
I like your stiles!!!!!!!!
Well now it is time toe switch the BMC to Campagnolo (sorry I am a Campy Addict).
By the way on the BMC a pair of M5 brakes would match perfect and save at least 110grams……………

You can have the best of it all, My Cielo is relatively light for such a heavy frame. My project started as a 3.1 pound base - right now she's 14.5 with the Boras - 13.75 with the AC's and should be in the high 12 range with the THM's and small stiff that I'm adding(or deleting). Hai's bikes are BAD ASS and I can't wait to answer his call with my next project. Hai and I will probably get all of the girls together for a photo shop class. It will be a super model showdown and I can't wait to see BIKE PORN at it's best. Speed Racer also has a BAD stable full of bikes. His collection is deep and makes me feel that my single bike pales in comparison. All in all, all of us WW's loves our bikes and beyond language and economy, our passion for bikes transcends above all differences. Viva WW's....HA HO
