The Ti HSets are heavier than the Al ones.

They are made to the same dimentions as the AL ones so they should be stronger, but I'm yet to see a broken Al one.

They do look cool though......

I had one on my road bike for a while. It looked really cool. It was heavier than the Al ones though.

For the money I think it's a waste of cash. No weight savings over an Al version and the Al versions are pretty much bomb proof to start out with. The King web site even says it's a bit overkill:

From the King web site: "The ultimate temptation, the Chris King titanium headset is hard to pass up. So, satisfy your need for reasoned analysis while still allowing yourself to succumb to the lure of inspired impulse and ask yourself: What could be better than the world's finest headset made from the universe's sexiest metal? "

So the only real advantage is it looks cool and you can tell your friends you have a Ti headset. Not really worth spending a bunch of extra money for, in my opinion.

It is inserted deeper into the headtube, which makes it interessting for people who own a frame with an ovalized headtube... Other than that, it's just for pimpin'...

Whoops... you' re wright... It's their SteelSet that has longer cups... Well... I guess there's no reason for buying the titanium then...
