I'm currently using Zipp quick-release skewers-weight about 85 grams. Are there any alternative quick release skewers that would result in a significant weight savings?
If so, where can they be purchased in the USA?

The SpinStix are very nice, but they won't work in all orientations if you have Wright/Breezer style hooded rear dropouts.

Bold are really good also, 49 gr per pair 8), and beautiful.

Bold precision super light weight, super expensive.

Do a search under my name with Bold precision and you will find a shop in SoCal thats stocks them.

I personally think the Tune Schnellspanner are the best qr's! I beleve that the road version even has a Al. axle!

The SpeedCific skewers are not as light, 76 gr, but a good deal for the money: $29.00.
