Tune OR Chris King??
Moderator: Moderator Team
Hi fellow riders all over...
I was wondering can anyone tell me how the Tune MIG and MAGs perform?? Im currently on the following setup:
1) Chris King Classic Hubs
2) Marwi Ti Spokes - 32 per wheel, cross laced
3) Alu Nipples (for aesthetic reasons: colour )
4) Mavic X517 WITHOUT ceramic sidewall.
5) Control Tech Ti skewers - not them quick release types.
Im not sure of the weight of my wheelset, and in terms of "weenieness", is my setup lighter than one with Tune hubs???
Got my CK setup after selling my 98' crossmax (non-disc), dun feel as smooth as the crossmax and kinda twitchy...
Hope to hear your views/comments. Thanks everyone for reading this...

thanks for your reply, but hows the performance of the hubs compared to chris king? thanks once again...
I haven't riden King's hubs, but I think that Tune hubs could be a little better even, because Tune hubs have 4 ceramic bearings. I guess you will not feel any difference. Only thing that I don't like in tune hubs is that the freehub is too loud!!

go for xtr 02 hub silent the quieter the better. very smooth and light

Nearly all high-end hubs have loud freewheels, including Chris King.
Rule of thumb: the louder the freewheel the stronger it is
It's the sound of excellence.
yeah, the king hubs can get reali loud after breaking in...buzzing like a bee, not used to it after my 'near-silet' crossmax. feels also like theres more resistance...hmm...
