well, good looking caad10, but nothing to special about it. The shimano mechanical groups doesnt look that good compared to di2 or sram. Just my 5 cents.

Yeah, but they function just as well as Di2, and better than SRAM.

7900 doesn't function as good as either Di2 system. Not even as good as Red. 9000 is a different story.

I thought you might have been confusing this with 9000. ;)

No, it isn't a super crazy WW build, but that wasn't what I was after. I wanted a solid race bike on a college student budget (ie less than the price of many members wheel sets).

As far as DI2 goes, I was unimpressed. Don't get me wrong, the shifting was great, but it wasn't quite as revolutionary as I had hoped it would be. I would love it on my cross bike, though!
I guess I'm in the minority who really likes 7900. Not that 9000 isn't fantastic and better in pretty much every way, but 7900 is no where near as bad as people on here make it out to be! Use some nice cable housing and properly route your cables and it's perfectly fine!

Agree, and well stated. We would all be best to judge each bike on it's individual merits and not against the top echelon of machines that often grace these pages that are, more often than not, unattainable for the majority of us. This is a sensible build that assuredly would perform much better than any of us non-pros would ever need our bike to.
