Hello, I introduce myself, I'm from Italy and I like both Mtb and road cycling.
I prefer metal over carbon where possible.

I was so lucky to withness the birth of this new product, and to get the second serial number of it :)

I think that the result is very good for a non-carbon product, it is very light and works flawlessy with my 10 speed Sram setup, even if it is 11speed compatible.

Nice Big Leg Emma...

Intriguing crankset. How do the spider/rings lock down to the spindle and crankarm?
Seems from their site that they have a Shimano/SRAM and Campagnolo specific versions - but I can't decipher what the differences are.
And any idea any the Q factor?

That's really interesting both in terms of concept and design! Looks superstiff as well.

Actually it's a Marcelo :)

I found the picture in their FB page, I think it will answer your question.
There is only one version compatible shimano/Sram/Campy, they tested Sram 10/11 v , shim 11 and Campy 11 and they told me that even if I find it to be quiker compared to my standard Sram crank setup, it is even quiker when installed on shim/Campy 11v :) , but I will stick with 10v still for long... Too many wheels to change .

The q-factor is 145mm.
Intruiging fact is that they have their own test machinery and their crank had much better results than popular competitor in stiffness and fatigue tests.
In one test of pre-production the machinery failed prior to the crank itself (there is a picture in their FB page) :)

This is the video I took when they finished putting the crank on my bike, "watch this!" they start spinning and brutally changing gears front and back while I was sweating cold :shock: :shock: :shock:

OK, so nice Marcello then. Did not realize the chainstays were so dang fat on that model too.

This crankset is even more intriguing now. Any special tools for installation (that are not included in the package)?

The only thing you need is a torque wrench, everithing is included in the package, now for me is difficult to explain because I do not know the technical terms in english.
every tool included is made from cnc anodized alu, in one picture you can see the red one that is needed to put the no-drive side ball bearing in place.
even some loctite is included.

Anyway they have prepared a very easy instruction sheet that is included in a memory card in the package.

I'm gonna ask them if I can post it here to clarify everithing. :beerchug:

Actually: Loctite is avaible as an extra, there are different type for different frame standards (bb30, bsa, etc.).

Also you will need a Torx 55 bit for your torque wrench that they can provide as an extra too.

They told me they are updating their website for these info

Ordered a crankset with the 52/36 ratio.
Will report back to everyone once installed.

I'd love to see how the hollow arms are made.

I wonder if there is any plan to make a MTB version? It seems like all you'd need is a longer spindle and a suitable spider/rings ala Hollowgrams.
