Hi Chaps,
I’m Chris Powell and I’m a plumber from the Stockport area in the uk. I’m 39 and have been a member of the Dukinfield CC for the last 22 years. Yep, 22 years of riding and having a laugh on a Sunday with the same bunch of retards!!
I love all types of cycling but mostly ride the road. I live on the edge of both the Deryshire Peak district and the Cheshire plain. The ‘Peaks’ offer some of the best MTBing in the uk and some stunning road rides, and ‘Chesh’ offers long flat rides with masses of quiet lanes. Oh, and the Manchester velodrome is about 30 mins drive away. How lucky am I!!!
Bikes wise I’ve got a lovely scandium Casati, record throughout soon to have a pair of Renolds Stratus DV Clinchers when they arrive. It’s not really a weenie but is a reasonably light workhorse.
My George Longstaff is a custom built audaxer and rides like a dream! Mostly Chorus and Record. Hugi hubs, Ceramic rims and 25mm tyres for the winter.
The Rocky Mountain is an 853 Blizard. Its an old school steel classic not light at about 25lb’s but another workhorse to cope with the peak district rocks and grit.
