GreenEdge took years to have Australian team in WT, it isn't easy and with UCI rules it isn't making thing easier either. Also, 1 August was only just 2 days ago; no announcement should be made prior to that.

Correct me if Im wrong, but Greenedge got the license before even starting the team, which goes against UCI rules as far as I know.

Lots of talk here about tyres recently... all I reckon is don't run whatever Thomas was running today in the Commonwealth road race! Really happy Gee managed do well for himself today for all his hard work over the past few years largely supporting others.

Or maybe you should because he didn't come off his bike for once?

Bit harsh ;) But 3 punctures in 170km is a bit much, especially with one 6km from the end too. Wonder what tyre he was running and who the mechanic for the first puncture was that took an age to get the wheel changed?!

@micky

I might be wrong too as I my memory might not served me well, but if I recall correctly, it wasnt a smooth time during the formation of OGE, especially after the failure of Pegasus Racing.

Thomas problems early in the race wasn't a puncture, it was apparently a chain issue? Which is why it took longer to fix and to puncture 6km from the finish is hardly the tyres fault is it?

So if the tire wasn't at fault, what is? The cranks?

Not saying whatever tires he was using are rubbish, flats happen, but the above statement is.

His first problem was a dropped or broken chain, he elected to change his wheel at the same time for some reason. His actual puncture was likely due to glass in that area
