Just reading through this thread makes me think of a crazy 1998 R900 2.8 build I did a year ago. Another project I regret parting with but I guess I find half the fun in the build! It was a very lively ride though and the cantilevered rear stays really shorten and stiffen the rear end so much!
The 2.8 frames were phenomenally light and from what I remember this came in at a little over 7kg

Some updates and minor changes for the off season. New bars (Zipp SC CSL), wrap (ESI RCT), and an ultegra 11-28 cassette.
