Lightweight 26" wheel set
Moderator: Moderator Team
Hi All,
I am considering a new wheel set (26") in order to cut some weight on my current ride (Cannondale Flash 26"). I am currently riding Enve rims and Project 321 hubs with the front being Lefty specific. I am looking at going lighter and have been considering the following setup:
AX Lightness 26" SRT CC (Tubs) rims
ExtraLite or Tune Hubs (like CK, but heavy. I do however have a guy who can make me a Lefty CK front hub)
Spokes?
My requirements are the following:
26"
Tubs or clincher (both ok)
Lightweight !!!
Strong enough to handle XC competition
I am a smooth rider, but not light (85 kilos)
Budget is not a consideration
Please let me know if you have some good suggestions which my be a better setup than my current plan.
Thank you

I've been riding with the AX 26'' tubular rims for about 4 years now and had zero issues. Very satisfied with them.
