I loved the look of the Octal Aero (oddly enough, as it looked a great 'urban'/Bern style helmet) though I can't stand big logos! (though if I did, the 80s look of the Poc logo and design isn't actually that bad)
The big logos would be trivially removed: they're big stickers. But they're reflective, so I'm compelled to leave them on, despite the added mass.

Really? I thought they looked sealed in or below a clearcoat (as opposed to Kasks's which come off in your hands)?
Mine has a sticker which can be simply removed (CE version)
Bring it up again, djconnel is right as always : )
“Until the standards catch up, we are between a rock and a hard place on impact, lower impact, and multi-impact testing,” Chilson said. “It’s kind of a bummer that marketing improved helmet technology is at a hold, due to liability, because the standard hasn’t caught up.”

headwind816 wrote:@djconnel - congrats on the new helmet. Which store did you go through to get it? How does it play with other sunglasses? I own Oakley Jawbones, and I have found some retention systems interfere with the stems.
Curious on this one too - I'm about to order one but would like to make sure they're ok with my jawbones / racing jackets. Any experience?

Why selling? Fit?
I absolutely love mine, although I want to make a plastic wind cover for it. The emergency health record sticker that comes with it is a brilliant added touch.

Bought it for the wife, but as she is 8mos along pregnant, she won't need it for quite a while. So rather just get her something again when she needs it. I love my size L on the orange. Just need matching shoes now...
i'm in san jose area and last time when i was travelling, started chatting with another fellow cyclist on the plane. i've been having helmet issue with fitment, etc.. fits well at first.. but once i start to sweat and into the ride.. my specialized echelon starts to get lopsided.
as it turns out i have a very odd shaped head.. very much so like "Ultraman".
so he suggested me to check out POC octal, as he has a pointy head himself.
i tried emailing POC and even try to call up some shops, but doesn't seem like they carry them in northen california, not to mention, i never got a response back from POC either.
anyone know of any shop in norcal that carries it in different sizes for me to try out?
thanks
